About Us
Our Mission
The mission of Living Hope Presbyterian Church is to build connections with God and God`s people through worship, fellowship, and the encouragement of a growing faith, through hands-on community service, and by extending a welcoming embrace to all persons.

-
YouTube: the service is uploaded on Mondays so you can watch at your convenience.
Printed sermons, weekly news and prayer requests, and other items of interest are available. Contact the church office if you would like these sent to you via email or regular mail.
Music is a vital ministry in our church. Our Music Director, Jalmari Vanamo, is an accomplished pianist, organist, and choir director. He brings his theater and teaching experience to his ministry. We have several outstanding soloists who sing the hymns and special musical offerings each week. When restrictions ease, we plan to add additional singers, offer concerts and/or cantatas, and provide other music opportunities for those who want to learn experience and learn about music.
Adult Christian Education classes are available several times each week.
-
The Sunday morning class meets from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Facebook with a discussion group. The group is currently studying Romans: The Gospel of Grace by Dr. David Jeremiah.
-
Wednesdays at noon is our Fellowship & Bible study in-person and on Zoom. Coffee and tea are provided. You may bring your lunch. The group is currently studying What My Grandmothers Taught Me.
-
Thursdays at 7 p.m. is our Zoom Bible study. The discussion is based on one of the lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday using the Feasting on the Word curriculum.
Contact the church office for more information and how to join the virtual studies.
Food ministry is an important part of our mission efforts. This ministry has been focused in Passaic for over 20 years. We support a food pantry, operated under the auspices of the United Passaic Organization, by collection donations of nonperishable foods, Shoprite gift cards, and financial gifts. For many years, the pantry was housed in our church building in Passaic. With the sale of that building, the pantry has a new home at Union Baptist Church.
Our Saturday hot lunch program has been a staple in Passaic. Prior to the pandemic volunteers from our church and other community organizations offered hospitality and a fresh meal to those in need. During the pandemic we were able to provide box lunches. We are exploring new options for providing meals potentially at a new location or through a mobile ministry.
God has provided us with the resource of a large facility. In addition to our congregation’s worship and programs, we provide a home for two other congregations: Casa de Oracion and All Nations church. We host the North Eastern Basketball Association (NEBA) in our gym Monday through Friday. The NEBA offers youth in our surrounding area a place to learn basketball and life skills in a safe environment. Tiny Stars daycare center brings the laughter and energy of young children into our building every day of the week.
